Who operates the Orem Youth Soccer program?
The Orem Youth Soccer program is operated solely by people who volunteer their time and their talents. This program requires a lot of volunteers. It takes a lot of time and effort to operate the program. There will always be human error. However, we do our best and volunteer so that our children can have a good experience.
How long is the season?
The season is 4-6 weeks in the Fall and 4-6 weeks in the Spring. When you register, your registration covers the full season, both Fall and Spring
Who are the coaches?
The coaches are usually parents who have children playing. They volunteer to be coaches. None of our coaches are paid for their service. Some have more experience than others but they offer their time and abilities so that our kids can have fun.
Can I be a coach?
We welcome all volunteers. Please contact us if you are interested in being a volunteer. Coaches should plan on coaching Fall and Spring.
How can I support the team my child is on?
It is important to be patient and grateful for our coaches. They are volunteers who have offered to work with our players and to do their best to make it a positive experience.
Attend the games and cheer for your team. Encourage your player to participate and also to be a good sport.
How much does it cost to register?
The U6 and U8 fee is $75. For U10 and older the fee is $95.
What does the "U" stand for?
The "U" stands for "Under". Your player should be "under" that age as of 31 July of the year that you are registering.
How old does my player need to be before I can register them?
Starting age is 4 as long as the child is 4 before July of the year you are registering for. For example:
If the birthday of your player is on 02 August 2008, and you are registering for the Fall 2008 - Spring 2009 season, your player is not yet eligible.
When can I register?
Our registration schedule is on our home page. The Spring sign up is a late sign up for those who missed it for Fall.
When will you cancel a game?
Games are not cancelled. Games will continue even if it is snowing, raining, hot, cold, etc. The only exception to this rule is for lightening. However, that is usually the call of a referee on the field.
